At just 20 years old, Max Merritt is quickly becoming one of the most exciting young talents in British motorsport. Hailing from a small town in Kent, England, Max’s journey from karting prodigy to British racing driver has been fuelled by a relentless passion for speed, a deep understanding of vehicle dynamics, and an unshakable commitment to his craft.

From an early age, Max was captivated by racing. His love for motorsport began at the age of four, when his father introduced him to karting. It wasn’t long before Max began competing in local events, where his natural talent was quickly recognized. By 12, Max had already claimed a plethora of experience, showcasing not only his speed but also an innate sense of race-craft beyond his years.

Max’s rise through the ranks of karting earned him a spot in the the BRSCC MX5 Super Cup. Securing multiple podium finishes and a handful of wins, solidifying his reputation as a driver with immense potential.

What sets Max apart from his peers is his meticulous approach to racing. He is known for studying telemetry and data for hours, constantly seeking areas to improve his lap times. His ability to communicate effectively with his support team has helped fine-tune his approach, allowing him to extract every ounce of performance from himself and the vehicle. This technical prowess, combined with his on-track aggression and composure, has made him a formidable competitor.

After his successful stint in BRSCC, Max is making the jump to the Porsche AM Championship for 2025. Despite being one of the youngest drivers on the grid, Max has consistently challenged more experienced competitors, earning praise for his talent and maturity.

Off the track, Max is a charismatic and down-to-earth figure who enjoys connecting with his family and sharing his journey through social media. He is passionate about giving back to the racing community as well as giving back to his partners and supporters.

As Max continues to rise through the ranks, many see him as a future star of British Racing.
